is recruiting for a
 
SUPERVISOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
 
Reporting to the Manager of Environmental Services and under the overall direction of the Director of Engineering and Public Works, the Supervisor of Environmental Services is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the water distribution and wastewater collection systems for the Town of Amherstburg.
 
The successful candidate will have a University degree or College diploma in Engineering or equivalent education and/or experience in a related discipline. A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience is required and a minimum of five (5) years in a municipal environment in Public Works is preferred or other equivalent operational environment. Class 2 Water Distribution Certificate and Class 1 Wastewater Collection Licence, as regulated by the Ministry of the Environment, are required. A valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence is required; a DZ licence is an asset. Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technician Technologists or other professional accreditation is an asset. Knowledge of computer software programs in a Windows and MS Office environment with an emphasis on operational maintenance systems is required.
