THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AMHERSTBURG
is recruiting for a
 
SUPERVISOR OF ROADS AND FLEET
 
Reporting to the Manager of Roads and Fleet, the Supervisor of Roads and Fleet is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the roads and fleet area including planning, scheduling, prioritizing and training employees in the roads and fleet area which encompasses public roads, sidewalks, winter control, storm sewers and storm water management facilities, street lights, tree maintenance, signage, traffic signals and fleet.
 
The successful candidate will have a University degree or College diploma in Engineering or equivalent education and/or experience in a related discipline. A minimum of three (3) years of supervisor experience is required and a minimum of five (5) years in a municipal environment in Public Works or other equivalent operational environment is preferred. Certified Road Superintendent classification from the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors is required or must be qualified to obtain the designation. A valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence is required; a DZ licence is an asset. Knowledge of computer software programs in a Windows and MS Office environment with an emphasis on operational maintenance systems is required.
