Reporting to the Manager of Finance and Support Services, the Casual IT Support provides assistance to the IT Support Coordinator when they are absent and/or when requested to assist with all IT systems including network servers, computers, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals. Responsibilities will include: supporting the functions and activities of the Town’s information technology (IT) systems in accordance with legislative and regulatory standards, applicable Provincial Acts, Municipal By-laws, and internal Town policies and procedures; provide end-user technical and help-desk support to end-users; configure, monitor and troubleshoot servers, hardware, e-mail, printer and backup servers, archival infrastructure and their associated operating systems and software; assisting with on-going preventative maintenance program for all Town IT, and telecom infrastructure to ensure effective and efficient operations of same.
The successful candidate will have two to three years progressive experience working with IT systems and will possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related studies.
