The Town of Hawkesbury is presently seeking a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to join its team and contribute to the Town’s development with his1 expertise and leadership.  Reporting to Municipal Council, the CAO plans, organizes, manages and oversees all administrative activities to ensure the Town operates efficiently.  He ensures communications between the Municipal Council, the other officials, municipal employees and various working committees.
 
More specifically the CAO:
Provides organizational and municipal executive employees management (approximately 25% of the time)
Takes a leading role as support to the Council (approximately 25% of the time)
Ensures municipal development (approximately 15% of the time)
Provides management of the services to citizens (approximately 35% of the time)

Expertise - You have:
- An undergraduate university degree in engineering or other related disciplines.
- A positive experience of at least five years of effective leadership in general management, development of services and talents and customer service, preferably in the municipal sector.
- Excellent oral and written skills in French and English.
- Extensive knowledge of the Ontario municipal bylaws.
- Experience in economic development will be considered an advantage.
