Conservation Operations
The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority (CRCA) is seeking to fill the position of Conservation Operations within our operations and maintenance team. The CRCA owns and maintains properties throughout its jurisdiction for environmental and recreation purposes. For more information please visit:
Kingston, Ontario
Full-time, permanent position
40 hours per week
Competitive salary range (under review) and comprehensive benefits package
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance of land and property. Duties include grass cutting, landscaping, trail maintenance, dam operations, plowing, shoveling, grooming ski trails, establishing and maintaining the outdoor skating rink
Maintenance of equipment and facilities. Duties include many trade related tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and small engine repair/maintenance
  - High School Graduate
  - 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
  - Ability to operate equipment such as hand and power tools, tractors, mowers, implements, plows, off road vehicles etc.
  - Knowledge of applicable legislation will be an asset
  - Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills
  - Ability to perform under pressure and address multiple priorities
  - Proficiency with the full suite of Microsoft Office software
  - Accuracy and attention to detail
  - Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced changing environment
  - Valid Class ‘G’ Driver’s License or equivalent and a clean driving record required
  - Working at Heights safety training (asset)
