Business System Analyst
Full Time Permanent
35 Hours Per Week

This position will focus on continuous business improvements and collaborating with service areas to achieve corporate objectives. Primary responsibilities include the review and understanding of business requirements with the objective of streamlining and improving business processes through the use of software, technology and business insight. This role will also provide a project management framework for the advancement of technology and create supports to ensure the ongoing success of the adjustments.
  • University degree in the field of Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Certification in Project Management. Lean or Six Sigma training and/or certification is an asset.
  • 7 years of experience working in large complex environment with a wide range of business processes.
  • 3 years of experience as a business analyst.
  • Knowledge and understanding of municipal operations and infrastructure including municipal software packages would be an asset.
  • Leadership skills required to manage multiple projects and lead/facilitate crossdepartmental project teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to think critically to identify strengths and weaknesses in business processes.
  • Training skills required to develop manuals and educate users on new processes and technology.
  • Ability to write and document business processes, project charters, presentations and reports to various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Crystal and SQL Reporting an asset.
Salary Range: $71,791.72 - $89,614.98
