The Town is looking for a proven leader to fill the role of General Manager, Infrastructure and Development. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and as a member of the Senior Management Team, you will be providing executive leadership to the Planning & Development, Engineering, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation Services in the context of strategic planning, priorities, business planning, high level budget development and implementation, performance measuring and overall organizational development, ensuring the organization has the necessary skills, resources, and support to effectively and efficiently deliver the highest quality of services to New Tecumseth citizens.
 
As the ideal candidate, you are a strategic thinker and an effective communicator and collaborator, with a proven ability to inspire, strengthen, mentor and empower high performing teams. You are a warm, personable, and ethical professional and you conduct yourself with integrity and diplomacy even under pressure. You possess strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills and you are able to accurately interpret financial statements and other statistical data and to produce and present detailed reports, including budgets, to the Senior Management Team and Council members.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Combination of degrees in Business/Public Administration and Technical field such as Engineering and/or Planning and Development, or combination of related education and experience.
  • At least 10 years of increasingly responsible relevant experience, preferably inclusive of management experience in local or regional government.
  • Considerable experience in project management, public consultation processes, and in the development and administration of capital and operating budgets.
  • Strong working knowledge of municipal legislation/regulations/guidelines/governance and contemporary issues.
 
Salary Range: $ 129,067 – 161,104 per annum plus full benefits package
