Come join the Ministry of the Attorney General where you will manage the day-to-day program operations of the North Bay Freedom of Information and Privacy Office. You will be dealing with extremely contentious and sensitive personal information for two very large, high profile ministries including the Ministry of the Attorney General and the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services (MCSCS).
 
What can I expect to do in this role?
 
In this position, you will:

• Manage a staff of program analysts and support staff responsible for delivery of FIPPA services for the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services (including MAG as needed)
• Plan and manage the delivery of administrative services, including: records management, contract management, facilities management, assets control, information technology and systems support, occupational health and safety.
• Provide the full range of human resource functions.
• Represent FOI in the three ministries on Occupational Health and Safety Committees, LERCs and MERCs and other internal and external committees as necessary.
• Represent the Ministry before the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario (IPC) in relation to all aspects of FIPPA appeal processes and privacy complaints and participate in oral hearings in consultation with program areas and legal counsel.
• Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare briefing materials and develop communication strategies.

• you have demonstrated experience with case management systems
• you have knowledge of the mandate of the specific program areas of all three client ministries is required in order to anticipate problems and adverse impact
 
Stakeholder Relations
 
• You can build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective application, administration and compliance with FIPPA legislation within the Ministry
• You are able to deal with extremely contentious and sensitive personal information
 
Communication, Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills
 
• You can resolve difficult issues through consultation, negotiation and mediation
• You can participate in the development, delivery and evaluation of
training initiatives
• You can develop written responses, submissions and communication materials
• You have demonstrated organizational skills to develop strategies to meet statutory deadlines required under FIPPA
• You have analytical, issues management and problem-solving skills to identify potentially contentious issues, anticipate adverse risks, effects and potential problems, analyze relevant information and identify possible solutions
 
Salary Range: $75,444 - $97,373 per year
