Full Time Position
Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Public Works Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the
County of Renfrew’s fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. This position will primarily be responsible for the
Emergency Services Fleet.
  • Equivalent to High School Diploma with specialized Community College course in vehicle mechanics.
  • Licensed Automotive Service Technician (310-S) and Licensed Truck and Coach Technician (310-T).
  • Good interpersonal skills, coupled with an ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software is an asset.
  • Valid Class DZ drivers licence.
  • Experience in the maintenance of Emergency Services Fleet would be considered an asset.
  • Successful candidate will require a current (within 6 months) Criminal Record Check and an acceptable Driver’s Abstract.
Compensation: $30.18—$31.22 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits package.
