Salary: $32.65 – $39.73 per hour
 

 
Position Purpose:
 
Reporting to the Deputy Clerk, the Records Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and administering the Corporate Records Management Program, including coordination and maintenance of the manual and electronic records classification systems. This position is also responsible for assisting with Freedom of Information Requests; maintaining and securing archival and vital records in accordance with legislative requirements; and providing general clerical support to Clerk’s Department.
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
 
  • Community College diploma in Business Administration, Archives, or Library and Information Technician.
  • Courses in records management; Municipal Administration Program an asset.
  • Minimum two (2) years of project management experience preferably in records and archives in a municipal setting.
  • Working knowledge of municipal records management practices, TOMRMS, Records Management/Document Management Software systems, etc.
  • Excellent negotiation, facilitation and interpersonal skills in order to achieve collaboration, support and cooperation on projects and assignments with all departments in the corporation.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management capabilities in order to plan and meet project timelines.
  • Good written communications skills and experience with writing reports, policies, procedures, by-laws, etc.
  • Excellent customer service to interact effectively, tactfully and courteously with the public, vendors and all levels of staff.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point), Adobe, and other database applications.
  • Required to work outside normal business hours as necessary
