UTILITIES SUPERVISOR – WASTEWATER OPERATIONS
New Tecumseth is a vital, developing municipality with a population of 30,000 and a combination of rural and urban components. We are seeking an experienced and motivated team player to fill this supervisory position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CET or related post secondary education (required for class 3 licences) minimum 2 years
- A minimum of three years experience in a similar position
- Class II licences in Wastewater Collection and Treatment required; Class III licences in Wastewater Treatment and Collection an asset or must be able to obtain within a minimum of one year; Class II licences in Water Distribution and Treatment will be an asset;
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees under his/her supervision, suppliers and the general public.
- Supervisory skills to motivate and direct staff and to maintain a team environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Legible handwriting and the ability to communicate in written form sufficient to do the job.
- Computer skills i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Must be deemed a competent person under the Occupational Health and Safety Act
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises and performs all work related to day to day operations of the Wastewater Operations ensuring that staff are scheduled, trained and motivated and that work is carried out in a cost efficient and safe manner
- Responds to the public regarding complaints and inquiries in an efficient and professional manner.
- Assists in preparation and manages annual operating and capital budgets.
- Assists in the preparation of RFQ’s, RFP’s and Tenders

SALARY
$61,817.60 - $77,272.00
