Our client is a local municipality in the beautiful Niagara Region, a great place to work, live and play!
Due to an internal promotion, our client is seeking an energetic and motivated professional with superior leadership, communication, analytical, report writing, customer service skills, and political intuition, who works well in a fast-paced environment and can help drive the corporation forward in accomplishing the goals and strategic direction set by the municipal Council.
You will be responsible for coordinating and executing health and safety programs and policies, disability management and analyzing workplace incident reports and investigations and make corrections, considering fiscal concerns and legislative requirements. You will provide training to members of the Corporation and offer guidance to staff and management on related issues.
You have a college diploma in Health & Safety and/or Human Resources, WSIB Basic and Workplace Specific Certification Training. Additionally, you have 3 years of experience in Health & Safety, Disability Management and supporting safety in multi-site locations. You have working knowledge of employee/employment related legislation and management principles. Your communication skills, attention to detail, conflict resolutions capabilities and ability to multi-task make you a preferred candidate for this position. Certifications in Adult Learning/Facilitator, investigations and hazard assessment training are a requirement. A CRSP designation is an asset.
The position offers a salary of $65,827 - $74,107 ($36.17 - $40.72 per hour) plus competitive benefits and pension package.
