The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is made up of a team of experts who understand local communities and assess every property in Ontario. Here’s what you will do as part of the team:
  • Lead the development and management of statutory and non-statutory municipal data and software products for municipal and sector stakeholders;
  • Identify municipal stakeholder needs and desires by specifying and conducting research and engagement to obtain municipal stakeholder input;
  • Assess product needs by calling on stakeholders, MPAC staff and evaluating engagement results;
  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future products by reviewing specifications and requirements to identify new product ideas and/or product changes;
  • Review product use, through engagement with municipal stakeholders and by analyzing data to ensure products are fulfilling requirements;
  • Manage complex product inquiries/recommendations from municipal stakeholders and trouble shoot product issues with Production/IT to identify, socialize, and implement solutions;
  • Monitor, measure and report on the level and quality of customer service provided to municipal stakeholders for MPAC products;
  • Lead a high-performing team while working collaboratively with internal peers, colleagues and executives;
  • Oversee the Performance Management and annual compensation review processes to ensure organizational and individual objectives are achieved;
  • Define and recruit future talent with short and long-term workforce plans; and
  • Develop and execute business and financial plans; prepare budgets and develop strategies to mitigate variances;
Here’s what you will need to succeed:
  • Completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree or three-year college diploma/degree;
  • At least 6 to 8 years of product management or related experience;
  • Ability to speak and understand municipal and other stakeholder constituent languages, coordinating their needs and aligning towards a common goal;
  • Experience with Agile product development methodologies;
  • Strong planning, research and problem-solving skills to drive product development and management;
  • Excellent facilitation and organizational skills to lead and/or coordinate multiple concurrent projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, while managing stakeholder expectations;
  • Superior communication and presentation skills to educate stakeholders, interpret and explain technical information to a variety of audiences; and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
