Engineering Manager
Purpose of the Position: The Engineering Manager is responsible for the management and contract administration of engineering projects such as Water and Wastewater infrastructure (Sanitary and Storm systems), Roads construction or rehabilitation, Bridge structures and sidewalks (hereinafter referred to as ‘Infrastructure’) in accordance with all applicable Municipal, Provincial and Federal Acts, Regulations, Policies and Standards.
Responsible to:     Director of Works and Engineering
  • Engineering Technician or Technologist diploma with a thorough understanding of municipal design, development and Infrastructure requirements; a Civil Engineering degree would be preferred.
  • Four (4) to five (5) years progressive engineering experience is required; Municipal experience would be an asset.
  • Membership in the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (CET) would be an asset. Where not already attained, the successful candidate would be required to attain this designation during their employ.
  • Water Treatment or Water Distribution or Wastewater Collection/Treatment certification would be an asset.

Hours: Full-time; thirty-five (35) hours per week
Compensation: $70,306 - $85,449 per annum.
Eligible for enrolment in the group Health, Dental and Life Insurance benefit plan after three (3) months.
Eligible for enrolment in the OMERS Pension Plan upon hire.
