Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for customer service? The County is looking to fill a new supervisory role within our Recreation and Community Facilities Department to lead the delivery of internal and external services in an effective and cost-efficient manner.
Our Human Resources Department is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Supervisor of Recreation and Community Facilities. Reporting to the Director of Recreation and Community Facilities, the Supervisor supports the Director with overall planning, prioritizing and implementing of programs, special events, scheduling, as well as budgeting and asset management within the portfolio.
The ideal candidate has previous leadership experience and possesses the following qualifications:
  • Completed post-secondary education in a related discipline
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience (or equivalent) leading teams directly as a Foreman or leading Foremen, developing recreational programs or services and associated staff schedules
  • Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to create operational plans for facility preventative maintenance and asset management
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and good judgment at all times
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with booking software an asset
  • Demonstrated experience providing guidance and support to large events, community groups and activities is required
  • Valid Class “G” driver’s licence required
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening check
  • Some evening and weekend work is required
The current annual salary range for this position is $75,196 to $91,367 as per Band 5 of the Non-Union By-Law. Compensation also includes a competitive benefit package and membership in OMERS. Please submit your cover letter and resume prior to 4:00 pm on May 27, 2020 to
