LEGISLATIVE SERVICES
COUNCIL / COMMITTEE COORDINATOR
SALARY RANGE – UNDER REVIEW
 
Applications will be received by Brittany Wilson, Human Resources Coordinator until Friday, September 20, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. for the position of Council/Committee Coordinator within the Legislative Services department.
 
The position of Council/Committee Coordinator will report to the Manager of Legislative Services/Clerk.
 
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
  • Preparing agendas and reports for General Committee Meetings
  • Preparing staff reports, memos, bylaws and resolutions as required
  • Administrative support for the Medical Centre Board
  • Administrative support for the Lagoon City Parks and Waterways Commission
  • Review and issue business and lottery licenses as the Deputy Licensing Officer
  • Provide routine administrative and clerical support to the Manager of Legislative Services/Clerk and administrative support to the department
  • Election support
  • Other duties as assigned
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
 
Probation Period – 3 months
35 hour work week – available and flexible to work beyond normal working hours as required
Required Education – 3 years in Community College/University
Experience Required – 5 years of secretarial experience in a Municipal Office
Proficiency in Microsoft applications
Experience in the election process
Experience with meeting management software (iCompass)
Valid driver’s license
Association Municipal Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario (AMCTO) certification
