Economic Development Data Specialist
Permanent, full-time position
Are you conversant with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, datasets, information sources and business intelligence practices? Can you work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and convey data clearly to technical and non-technical audiences? If so, make your mark as a data specialist with the Region of Waterloo’s Economic Development Division.
As an Economic Development Data Specialist, you’ll research, analyze and forecast data and trends in collaboration with internal and external partners, as well as develop, compile and maintain economic databases, reports, economic profiles, and interactive dashboards, both for internal and external audiences and for economic studies. We’ll also count on you to administer datasets to support economic development projects and/or initiatives (e.g., economic recovery, aerospace and aviation strategy), and to provide technical expertise to internal and external clients.
