Digital Coordinator
The City of Woodstock is looking for a Digital Coordinator that can roll up their sleeves and dive right in to help Woodstock capitalize on its digital potential!
Reporting to the Manger of IT, the Digital Coordinator will be responsible for leading a number of initiatives designed to help the organization meet regulatory compliance as well as enhance the way citizens interact with the City through the web and online services.
The Digital Coordinator will develop and execute on a web accessibility program to ensure compliance of the City’s web documents with respect to the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) by January 2021. This important project will provide the Digital Coordinator with an opportunity to work across the organization and build a solid foundation for future digital initiatives.

In order to determine if you may be a good fit, we are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
  1. University degree or College diploma in Computer Science, related discipline or equivalent experience is an asset. 
  1. Demonstrates a minimum of one to three years of web, digital and IT experience.
  1. Knowledge of the AODA and an in depth understanding of web accessibility and compliance are considered strong assets for this role.
  1. Ability to build strong, productive, and sustainable work relationships across the organization and with external partners.
  1. Experience in leading projects and familiarity with various aspects of the project management discipline including, but not limited to, stakeholder engagement, relationship management, change management, agile, and project portfolio management and reporting.
  1. Ability to empathize and understand business goals and opportunities from the point of view of departmental staff as well as the customer service experience from the vantage point of citizens and others who consume City services.
  1. Ability to manage change within a complex municipal setting and effectively run digital initiatives focusing on achieving defined business outcomes.
  1. Experience and demonstrated ability to negotiate and effectively manage technical agreements and contracts with external vendors and partners.
  1. Excellent administration, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, negotiating, interpersonal as well as oral communication and presentation skills.
  1. Ability to deal courteously and effectively with staff, other departments/levels of government, the public and other external partners.
  1. Have flexibility/availability to respond to “after hours” emergencies, and/or overtime as may be required.
  1. Class “G” Driver’s License in good standing and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
Salary range is currently $68,337 - $80,396.
A standard 35-hour work week Monday – Friday, working additional hours as required. The role is based at City Hall in Woodstock, with some travel to other city departments, and the ability to work under minimum supervision and be self-directed is required. A comprehensive benefits package is included.
